Our hats are off to XANDER SANDBERG, shown in the picture with his dad, who raised funds for A New Beginning and made a lot of toys for our cats and dogs. Xander raised enough money to vaccinate 6 cats, and the toys are also a great hit with our sweeties! GREAT JOB XANDER!

A New Beginning Animal Rescue of Layton, Utah, today announced it has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to support its rescue, nurture, and adoption initiative.

No-Kill A New Beginning Animal Rescue Receives Surprise Gift, Buys Much Needed "New" Van

For the past seven years, Gabi Johnson, founder and executive director, and dedicated ANBAR volunteers struggled to find reliable transport for the animals, using primarily small cars and could only accommodate three rescue pets at a time. Thanks to a generous unrestricted gift from the estate of song composer Sandra Seamons last fall, Johnson has purchased a gently used van with proper heating and cooling to transport the animals.

Song Composer and noted animal lover Sandra Seamons who died last August at the age of 79 bequeathed a portion of her estate to support animal rescue organizations. Her heirs identified animal rescue groups through a thoughtful selection process. A New Beginning Animal Rescue (ANBAR), a volunteer-driven non-profit based In Roy, Utah, was one of the lucky recipients. It received a gift of $30,000 - its largest gift in the organization’s history.
